Adult Acrylic Painting: Level 1-3

Location: In-person class or by Zoom

Date: Wednesdays, January 6 - March 10, 2021

Time: 6:00-8:30pm

This class is designed for the beginning to advanced painter wanting to develop skills in acrylic painting. The class is divided into two parts where the first half of the term concentrates on a specific skill or technique involved with acrylic painting. Topics to be discussed may include elements and principles of design including composition color theory, texture, etc. Topics may also include painting styles including glazing, impasto, grisaille, blending, etc. From term to term the projects will change, stimulating and encouraging growth, allowing students to repeat the same class all year round. Advanced students are offered the choice to participate in the first technique/skill based painting or work independently with one on one mentorship from the instructor. From sketches to paintings, projects will be discussed and fully explored with goals attained. Students are encouraged to work from their own images and ideas. Please bring 6 images to the first class.

Refund Policy For Classes and Workshops: If a student is unable to attend the registered class, a refund for the amount of tuition – less $15. processing fee – will be issued if four weeks written notice is given prior the start of classes, no refunds will be issued after this date without a valid written reason (i.e. moving or an illness).
